Medical Laboratory Technologist - Remote
Position Overview
Laboratory Express Diagnostics is seeking a certified Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) to join our Laboratory team in a 100% remote capacity. This position allows you to work from anywhere in the United States while providing critical technical expertise in laboratory operations, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and verify laboratory test results for accuracy and quality
- Provide technical consultation to laboratory staff and healthcare providers
- Monitor quality control procedures and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Troubleshoot analytical issues and provide remote technical support
- Maintain laboratory accreditation standards (CAP, CLIA)
- Participate in proficiency testing and quality improvement initiatives
- Review and approve laboratory protocols and procedures
- Collaborate with pathologists and laboratory directors
Required Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Clinical Laboratory Science
- ASCP, AMT, or equivalent MLT certification required
- Active state licensure where applicable
- 2+ years of clinical laboratory experience
- Strong knowledge of clinical chemistry, hematology, and microbiology
- Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Reliable high-speed internet connection
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science
- MLS (ASCP) or MT (AMT) certification
- Experience in multiple laboratory disciplines
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements (CAP, CLIA, FDA)
- Previous remote work experience
- Supervisory or leadership experience
